Carrier bags are bags with handles that are used to hand over goods at the point of sale. Unlike shipping bags or plastic bags, carrier bags usually have an upright form and stable handles for greater carrying capacity.

Kraft paper 80–120 g/m² — standard paper carrier bag
Natural paper with a twisted paper cord as a handle. Carrying capacity 5–10 kg depending on the format. Standard for retail, fashion shops, gift packaging. Printable in offset print with high resolution.
Kraft paper 120 g/m² with flat handle

HDPE 25–50 microns — vest carrier bag

LDPE 50–100 microns — DKT (Stabilo)

Printing processes
Printing on paper in offset print with up to 8 colours, high-resolution photo rendering possible. Printing on film and non-woven in flexo print with up to 6 colours. Full-surface printing across both sides of the carrier bag possible.

Format adjustments in width (180–500 mm), height (220–500 mm) and bottom gusset depth (80–180 mm). Standard formats mini, small, medium, large, XL — or individual format specification.

Sustainability — carrier bags and reusable concepts
In Germany, carrier bags have been chargeable or banned since 2022 — as a result, sustainable and reusable carrier bags are the only future-proof solution.
Paper carrier bags — recycling standard
Pure kraft paper carrier bags are fully recoverable in the paper recycling stream. FSC-certified on request — important for organic brands and sustainability-oriented retail chains.
PP non-woven reusable bags
PP non-woven carrier bags with a 30–50 use lifespan have a considerably better ecological balance than single-use plastic bags. From around 8–10 uses, the CO₂ balance turns positive.
PE carrier bags and the PPWR
PE carrier bags are mono-material and recyclable. However, due to German packaging legislation they are largely banned or chargeable in food retail — so they are now only used in specific sectors (construction/DIY, garden).
Recyclate processing
PE carrier bags with a post-consumer recyclate content of up to 80 % are possible. For sustainability-oriented brand strategies, material reduction is often more effective than a material change.

How high are the minimum quantities?
No minimum order in the standard range. For bespoke production with a logo, a higher minimum quantity – we calculate individually.

Are the carrier bags compostable?
Kraft paper variants are generally bio-based and recyclable. For fully compostable carrier bags in accordance with EN 13432, please enquire about a special variant.
