Year of foundation

Behind the name Elke Plastic GmbH there is today a group of companies with branches in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. In 1972, Erwin Turkovic founded the company Elke Plastic GmbH & Co. KG in Rielasingen (Germany) and started distributing LDPE film packaging for industry.

Family Business

Between 1988 and 1994, the sons Andreas, Thomas and Axel became active in the company and from that point on helped to successfully expand the family business.

Takeover

In 2002, the management was handed over to the three sons and the company was converted into a GmbH. The company continues to grow under the new management and the product range is constantly being expanded.

Expansion - Standort Schweiz

In 2004, the Swiss branch was founded. Even though much has changed since then, we have remained loyal to the field of film packaging to this day. In our delivery range you will find the complete product family of resealable film packaging. We are now among the leading specialist suppliers of resealable bags of all kinds in Europe. These include: ziplock bags, slider bags, slider bags, adhesion seal bags and drawstring bags. A further selection of complementary products can be found in our delivery range. As one of the largest importers of ziplock bags in Europe, prompt deliveries, expert advice and an always open ear for problem-solving are obligatory goals for us.

Relaunch

In 2016, a major project in the field of e-commerce and online marketing was on the agenda. The old shop was completely revised and redesigned to meet new standards.

Relaunch 2.0

Almost 10 years after the successful relaunch in 2016, we are once again rising to the challenges of the digital age. With new branding, look & feel and a number of features in the area of usability & customer journey, we are gearing up for the future in online retail.
