Accessibility statement

This accessibility statement applies to the website of Elke Plastic GmbH published at elke-plastic.de.

General description of the service

The website of Elke Plastic GmbH enables users to find out about products and services, get in touch and place orders or bookings directly online.

Applicable legal requirements

For digital services, the requirements under § 14 of the German Accessibility Strengthening Act (BFSG) in conjunction with § 3 (1) BFSG and the Ordinance on the BFSG (BFSGV) apply.

Implementation of the accessibility requirements

The assessment is based on a self-evaluation using the accessibility tool from AccessGO.

Based on this review, the website is partially accessible in line with the aforementioned requirements.

Specifically, the following points are not fully compatible with the accessibility regulations applicable to us:

Barrier: Some buttons are empty or do not contain any descriptive text.
Barrier: Skipped heading level in the document structure.
Barrier: Redundant adjacent links with an identical destination.
Barrier: Some form fields do not have a correctly assigned text label.
Barrier: Missing assignment of a label to a form field.
Barrier: Redundant title text on an element.
Planned approach to the barriers mentioned:

We are already working on resolving these barriers.

Note on PDF files:

Some PDF documents provided on the website (e.g. operating instructions, declarations of conformity, energy labels, certificates) are currently not fully prepared in an accessible form.

These files partly have structural and technical limitations – including missing heading structures, undefined reading orders, missing alternative texts for graphic content or untagged tables. As a result, they can only be used to a limited extent with assistive technologies.

For organisational and economic reasons, it is currently not possible for us to provide all existing PDF documents in a fully accessible form. However, we endeavour to publish new documents – where possible – in an accessible form in the future.

If you need a particular document in an accessible form, please contact us. We will be happy to provide you with an individually accessible version, insofar as this is possible for us.

Addition to the accessibility statement

On our website, the accessibility plugin AccessGO (www.accessgo.de) from DGfB Deutsche Gesellschaft für Barrierefreiheit mbH is offered.

With this, users can adapt our website to individual impairments or preferences.

The settings can be accessed via the AccessGO icon or alternatively via the key combination “ALT + 1”. All functions can also be controlled with the keyboard

Among other things, this makes it possible to adjust the following aspects:

Font size
Contrast
Highlighting of links
Activating a screen reader
Use of profiles to activate several settings at once.

Competent market surveillance authority

If you believe that this website is not accessible, please inform our body or person named above. We endeavour to answer enquiries within a reasonable period.

If you are wholly or partly dissatisfied with the response, you can also contact the following authority.

To carry out the tasks of the Accessibility Strengthening Act, the federal states are currently setting up a joint body. The Market Surveillance Body of the Federal States for the Accessibility of Products and Services (MLBF) is to commence work as a new institution under public law in Saxony-Anhalt, in the state capital Magdeburg. A prerequisite for this is the ratification of the state treaty on the performance of tasks under the Accessibility Strengthening Act (BFSG) by all federal states. All federal states are currently creating the necessary conditions for this.
