What are mesh box liners?
Side gusset sacks for mesh boxes are the large version of carton liners. Standard mesh boxes (typically 800×1200×1000 mm) can transport tonnes of heavy bulk goods, granules or components – without a liner sack the contents would fall between the mesh bars or be affected by the weather.
Our range of mesh box liners covers typical industrial mesh box sizes. Film thicknesses 100–200 microns (higher material thickness because of heavy loads), LDPE or PA/PE laminate for vacuum applications. Antistatic on request for sensitive powders.
In the range you will find various material variants, film thicknesses and application specialisations – from standard LDPE through laminate films with an aluminum aroma barrier to sustainable PCR recyclate, bio-PE and mono-material options. All standard films are available food-grade to EU 10/2011; declarations of conformity for HACCP files or supplier assessments are available via our enquiry form.
What are mesh box liners suitable for?
- Industrial bulk goods: plastic granulate, pellets, sand, minerals
- Component collection: small-parts logistics in mesh boxes
- Food industry: baking mixes, powder stocks in bulk packs
- Waste disposal: collection of reject material
- High-value materials: valuable granulate with film protection
- International logistics: mesh box shipping with outer protection
Which mesh box variant is the right one?
- Film thickness 100 microns: standard for light bulk goods
- Film thickness 150 microns: standard industry
- Film thickness 200 microns: extra strong for heavy granules
- LDPE: universal for bulk goods
- PA/PE laminate: vacuum-capable for food
- Antistatic: for sensitive powders
- With side gussets: maximum use of volume
- Food-grade: EU 10/2011 for food applications
Your benefits with mesh box liners from Elke Plastic
We have imported industrial films directly from the manufacturer since 1976. For mesh box liners, tear resistance under heavy loads is decisive. Our suppliers meet industrial requirements for consistent quality. Shipping from our German warehouse with tiered prices for pallet quantities.
Over more than 45 years, our packaging specialists have supported thousands of packaging projects and know the pitfalls in detail: which film thickness withstands the contents? Which closure suits the end use? Which material meets your sustainability requirements without greenwashing risk? We advise honestly, drawing on the experience of countless projects – rather than with marketing phrases.
Shipping is from our German warehouse. Standard goods are usually available immediately; custom printing and custom-made items are arranged individually within the delivery time window. All customers – B2B and B2C alike – receive transparent tiered prices directly in the order table on the product page (no minimum order value); for pallet quantities we prepare individual quotes on request. Free samples, data sheets and declarations of conformity via our enquiry form.
Frequently asked questions about mesh box liners
What is a mesh box liner made from side gusset film?
A mesh box liner is a high-volume PE side gusset sack that lines a mesh box (usually 1240 × 835 mm internal dimension). It closes off the open mesh walls, holds back small parts, granulate or bulk goods and protects against dirt and moisture – without goods falling through the mesh bars.
Which size fits a standard mesh box?
For the standardised mesh box (internal dimension approx. 1240 × 835 × 970 mm) choose a sack about 1250 mm wide, with a suitable side gusset and enough height for overhang. We stock liners to fit common mesh box and pallet dimensions; special sizes on request.
Which wall thickness for mesh box liners?
Because of the large surfaces and heavy filling, 100–200 microns. For sharp-edged metal parts or high filling weights choose the upper end – the bars of the mesh box otherwise press into thin film.
Does the liner protect metal parts from corrosion?
Standard PE protects against moisture from outside. For active corrosion protection of bare metal parts there are VCI mesh box liners that release a corrosion-protection agent – without oil or grease. As a custom order on request.
How is the mesh box liner fixed and closed?
The overhang is folded over the upper frame and laid over on the outside; after filling, twist it and close with a clip or cable tie. This keeps the contents dust-tight and the box stackable.
Antistatic for electronic bulk goods possible?
Yes – antistatic mesh box liners for ESD-sensitive components are available as a custom order. We clarify the minimum order quantity and delivery time individually.
Can I reuse the liner?
With careful handling and sufficient wall thickness, yes – often multiple times for internal loops. For sharp-edged goods, single use is safer to avoid punctures and contamination.
Are mesh box liners available from stock?
Common sizes are available from stock with no minimum order value; for differing box dimensions or VCI/antistatic we manufacture on request. Shipping from our German warehouse.
