Recycling film packaging is an important step worldwide to reduce plastic waste and keep valuable raw materials in circulation. Everyone can contribute: carefully separate film packaging from other waste, remove food residues and dispose of it via the designated collection systems. Modern recycling plants transform clean material into new granulate, from which packaging, bags or technical films are made again. Every correctly disposed-of film means less waste in nature, less resource consumption and a cleaner future – everywhere in the world.

The Block Bottom Bags Natron Natural are sturdy paper bags made from natural kraft (Natron) paper with a box-shaped block bottom. The unbleached organic look makes them the first choice when your packaging should appear artisanal, sustainable and natural – for example for coffee roasters, tea manufactories and farm shops.

What the Natron block bottom bags are made for

Natron paper is tear-resistant and stable and is suitable for dry, aromatic bulk goods where look and feel count. Thanks to the block bottom, the bags stand securely on the shelf and underline the natural character of your product without a plastic appearance.

  • Roasted and ground coffee in an organic, manufactory look
  • Loose tea, herbs and spices
  • Muesli, nuts, dried fruit and baking ingredients
  • Farm shop and natural food ranges

Material and properties

Natural Natron paper (kraft paper) is robust, easy to print and conveys a credible sustainability look. The bags are food-grade to EC 1935/2004 and EU 10/2011; we send the declaration of conformity (PIM) on request. Pure paper belongs in the waste paper bin after use, an FSC confirmation is possible on request.

Paper or film – when Natron fits

You choose the Natron block bottom bags when a natural look, feel and paper recycling are more important to you than a clear view of the contents. If you need a crystal-clear view, you reach for the OPP film variant; if you want to combine a natural look and a viewing area, the Natron variant with window is ideal. For heavy bulk goods the 4-ply block bottom bags are a good option.

Frequently asked questions about the block bottom bags Natron Natural

What is Natron paper and why is it suitable for bags?

Natron paper is a particularly tear-resistant kraft paper in a natural, unbleached look. It is stable enough for sturdy block bottom bags and conveys a credible, sustainable appearance.

Are the paper bags food-grade?

Yes, they are certified for direct food contact to EC 1935/2004 and EU 10/2011. You receive the declaration of conformity (PIM) and, if needed, further proofs on request.

Can I pack coffee in them?

Yes, for ground coffee and beans the Natron bags are a classic in an organic look. For freshly roasted coffee with strong CO₂ outgassing, ask us about a valve solution, as pure paper forms no gas barrier.

How do I dispose of the Natron bags?

Pure Natron paper belongs in the waste paper bin. Only with heavy soiling, for example with grease, do you choose residual waste instead.

Is the paper FSC-certified?

An FSC confirmation is possible on request. Simply state in your enquiry that you need the proof for your documentation.

Does Natron paper print well?

Yes, Natron paper takes print well and is suitable for logo and label branding. We arrange individual printing in flexo or gravure individually, with minimum quantity and lead time.

When do I take Natron instead of the OPP film?

When a natural look, feel and paper recycling are more important to you than a crystal-clear view of the contents. If you need both – a natural look and a viewing area – choose the Natron variant with window.

Do the bags stand securely even when empty?

The box-shaped block bottom unfolds its stability above all when filled. Filled, the bags stand cleanly and present your product upright on the shelf.

Are there samples before the first order?

Yes. We send you free samples of the standard sizes so you can assess the paper quality, feel and stability in advance. Enquire via the contact form.
