Recycling film packaging is an important step worldwide to reduce plastic waste and keep valuable raw materials in circulation. Everyone can contribute: carefully separate film packaging from other waste, remove food residues and dispose of it via the designated collection systems. Modern recycling plants transform clean material into new granulate, from which packaging, bags or technical films are made again. Every correctly disposed-of film means less waste in nature, less resource consumption and a cleaner future – everywhere in the world.

The rLDPE adhesion seal bag with recycled content, bevelled flap, no air hole, 40 microns is the sustainable variant made from recycled polyethylene with a self-adhesive flap. With a 40 micron thickness and a fully closed, air-hole-free shell, it is suitable for food packing and textiles — with significantly reduced use of virgin plastic.

What the rLDPE adhesion seal bag is used for

This bag is aimed at everyone who wants to make their packaging more sustainable without giving up transparency and a tool-free closure. Without an air hole it closes dust-tight, and the self-adhesive flap makes packing fast.

  • Food packing — spices, dry products, powder portions
  • Textiles — packed cleanly and protected from dust
  • sustainability-oriented brands — visibly reduced virgin plastic

Recycled content and sustainability

rLDPE stands for polyethylene with recycled content. With it you reduce the need for virgin material and close the plastic loop without giving up recyclability: the bag remains a PE monomaterial and runs sorted by type in the PE stream. Despite the recycled content it is certified for food contact according to EC 1935/2004 and EU 10/2011; the declaration of conformity is available on request.

40 microns and choosing the right variant

At 40 microns this is the slimmest variant of the adhesion seal bags — material-saving and well suited for light, uncritical contents. If you need more tear resistance, reach for the LDPE variant with 50–70 microns; if you want to present flat textiles vented, the PP bag with an air hole is suitable. If sustainability is the priority, this rLDPE variant is the right choice.

Closure and processing

Despite the recycled content the bag behaves in everyday use like a virgin-material bag: the bevelled flap carries the same self-adhesive strip, which you simply fold over and press down after filling. No sealing device and no tape are needed, which makes the packing fast and even. The crystal-clear film gives you a full view of spices, dry products or textiles, while you simultaneously reduce the use of virgin plastic — a combination that is particularly interesting for sustainability-oriented brands.

Frequently asked questions about the rLDPE adhesion seal bags with recycled content

What do rLDPE and recycled content mean?

rLDPE is polyethylene with recycled content. Instead of pure virgin plastic, part of the bag consists of reprocessed material. This reduces the need for virgin material and closes the plastic loop, while the bag remains recyclable as a PE monomaterial.

Is the bag food-grade despite the recycled content?

Yes. This variant is certified for food contact according to EC 1935/2004 and EU 10/2011 and is therefore suitable for spices, dry products and powder portions. We provide the declaration of conformity (PIM) on request.

Why only 40 microns — is that enough?

40 microns are deliberately chosen slim to save material, and are enough for light, uncritical contents. If you need more stability and tear resistance, the LDPE variant with 50–70 microns is the better choice.

Is this bag less transparent than a virgin-material bag?

No, the bag is crystal-clear and gives a full view of the contents. Despite the recycled content the see-through quality is retained, so the goods remain visible.

When do I choose this variant instead of the pure LDPE version?

Whenever sustainability is the priority and you want to reduce the use of virgin plastic. For maximum tear resistance you choose the LDPE variant with 50–70 microns; for vented textile presentation the PP bag with an air hole.

Why does this variant have no air hole?

Without an air hole the bag closes dust-tight and holds back fine contents such as powder and spices. The air hole is only useful for flat textile presentation and is deliberately omitted here.

How do I dispose of the rLDPE bag correctly?

It belongs in the recycling bin. As a PE monomaterial it is NIR-detectable in the German PE recycling stream and fully recyclable, designed to be PPWR-compliant — the recycled content it already contains also stays in the loop.

Does the self-adhesive closure work just like on virgin material?

Yes. The bevelled flap carries the same self-adhesive strip: peel off the protective strip, fold over, press down. The recycled content makes no difference to the tool-free processing.

Are there free samples before ordering?

Yes, before your first order we send you free samples so that you can check the feel, transparency and closure. You will find the available sizes with tiered prices in the order table above.
