Sealed edge bags are flat-sealed film bags, usually made from OPP or PE laminate with an edge sealed on all sides. Material thickness and laminate determine transparency, barrier and processing speed on the packaging line.
OPP 30 / PE 30 — transparent standard laminate
Crystal-clear film with high brilliance and stiffness. OPP on the outside for printability and appearance, PE on the inside for the sealing seam. Standard for confectionery, baked goods, sweets, pralines and food presentation packaging.
PET12 / PE — transparent premium barrier
PET as the outer layer for higher mechanical stability, PE sealing layer. Higher puncture and tear resistance, better aroma barrier. Suitable for baked goods and dry products with a longer best-before date.
OPP / metallised / PE — light barrier
With a metallised intermediate layer (vacuum aluminisation), no solid aluminum. Aroma and light barrier of almost 100%, with a shiny silver appearance. Popular for crisps, snacks, the premium confectionery segment.
Food suitability
All materials are certified to EU 10/2011 for direct food contact. Declaration of conformity (DoC) on request.
Processing on packaging lines
Standard delivery form: on a roll with defined perforations for machine filling and heat sealing. For manual filling, also available as individual bags.
