What are slider bags?
Slider bags – also called sliding closure bags – have a slider closure: a small plastic slider that glides over the two zip profiles and seals them. The advantage over the classic ziplock closure: one-handed use, fast opening and closing, no need to press it together.
The material is LDPE, certified food-grade in accordance with EU 10/2011 for direct food contact.

Material properties of slider bags in detail
Slider bags combine a ziplock closure (zipper) with a sliding slider. This enables particularly fast and user-friendly opening and closing — typical for food and travel applications.
LDPE 70–100 microns — standard variant
Low-density polyethylene with an integrated zip slider. Tear-resistant, flexible, clearly transparent. The standard solution for food storage, dry products, travel luggage.
PE / EVOH / PE — aroma barrier
A laminate with a thin EVOH barrier layer for aroma and oxygen protection with sensitive foods. Suitable for resealable coffee packaging, tea, spices in secondary packaging.
OPP / PE — premium transparency
OPP on the outside for crystal-clear brilliance, PE on the inside for the seal seam. High-quality look at the point of sale, ideal for premium foods with visual presentation.
Slider mechanism
The sliding slider glides over the ziplock closure and opens/closes it with one hand movement. Repeated reuse possible, no loss of function under normal use.
Food suitability
All materials are certified to EU 10/2011 for direct food contact. Declaration of conformity on request. Suitable for dry and moist foods.

Customisation – printing and special sizes
Slider bags are manufactured with custom brand printing – a premium look in retail.
Printing processes
Printing in flexographic printing with up to 6 colours or gravure printing up to 10 colours. Full-surface printing across the outside is possible. Slider available in various colours – matched to your brand identity.
Special sizes
Format adjustments in width (80–300 mm) and height (120–400 mm). Material thickness optionally 70, 90, 100 or 120 microns. Optionally with a Euro hole or tear notch above the slider closure.

Sustainability and recyclability
Slider bags made of mono-PE laminate are mono-material recyclable; the slider, too, is made of the same polyethylene as the film.
Mono-material recycling in the PE stream
Pure LDPE slider bags are identified as polyethylene in German sorting plants via near-infrared detection (NIR). Disposal via the recycling bin. Ideally remove food residues before disposal.
EVOH laminate and RecyClass
PE/EVOH/PE laminates with an EVOH content below 5% can be recycled in the PE stream in accordance with the RecyClass design guidelines. Higher EVOH contents impair recycling.
Reusability
The slider mechanism allows 30–50 opening/closing cycles without loss of function. In the household and workshop, one slider bag replaces considerably more single-use packaging – material efficiency through repeated use.

High-quality sliders withstand 300+ opening cycles. With ingress of sand or powder, the slider can wear out faster – in that case, better choose a ziplock closure.
Vacuum-suitable?
No – the slider does not hold a vacuum. For vacuum applications, choose sealed edge bags with an embossed texture.
Suitable for powder?
For fine powders (flour, spice powder), caution – the slider can wear out with powder ingress. Better choose a classic ziplock closure.
Printable with a logo?

Which wall thickness for kitchen storage?
Standard 70–100 microns. For regular reuse, 100–120 microns.
Which sizes are common?
