The LDPE slider bags 60 - 70 microns are crystal-clear LDPE bags with a slider closure: a slider glides over the zip profiles and opens or closes the bag one-handed. At 60 to 70 microns thick, they are robust, resealable and especially convenient in everyday handling.
What the slider bags are used for
The slider makes opening and closing faster and more comfortable than a classic press-to-close zip, because you don't have to run along the whole lip. This pays off everywhere access is frequent or the closure needs to be operated one-handed.

Material and properties
LDPE is soft, crystal-clear and tear-resistant. The bags are food-grade in accordance with EC 1935/2004 and EU 10/2011 (declaration of conformity on request), cold-resistant down to around -40 °C and therefore suitable for freezing; at the upper end LDPE is stable to around 70 to 80 °C, but is not intended for hot filling. As a mono-material they are recyclable in the PE stream and PPWR-compliant from 2030.
Slider or classic press-to-close zip
The slider closure and the press-to-close zip serve the same purpose but differ in convenience. The slider can be operated one-handed and without aiming — ideal when the end customer opens the bag often. The classic press-to-close zip is cheaper and flatter and suits cases where the closure is operated less often; you'll find this variant among our ziplock bags. The 60 to 70 microns are designed for standard contents; for sharp-edged or heavy goods, choose a thicker film.
Convenience in daily use
The big everyday advantage is the slider guidance: you find the opening blind, pull the slider across and the bag is securely closed — without pressing again. This noticeably speeds up resealing during frequent access and reduces the risk of the lip not closing completely. For end customers and travel sets in particular, this is a clear plus.

How does the slider closure work?
A slider sits on the zip profiles and opens or closes the bag as you pull it along the opening. This works one-handed and without precise aiming — faster and more convenient than pressing together a classic press-to-close zip.
Slider or press-to-close zip — which is better for me?
The slider scores with one-handed, convenient operation for frequent access. The classic press-to-close zip is flatter and cheaper and is enough when the closure is opened less often — we offer this variant as ziplock bags.
Can the bag really be opened one-handed?
Yes, that's the main advantage of the slider. You don't have to align and press the entire lip together; you simply pull the slider across — handy when your other hand is occupied.
Are the slider bags suitable for freezing?
Yes. LDPE is cold-resistant down to around -40 °C and therefore suitable for the freezer. The bags are not designed for hot filling, as LDPE is only stable up to around 70 to 80 °C.
Why is this variant 60 to 70 microns thick?
The slightly higher thickness gives the bags stability and ensures the slider mechanism engages reliably. For standard contents this is sufficient; for sharp-edged or heavy goods an even thicker film is recommended.
Are the bags approved for food?
Yes. The LDPE is food-grade in accordance with EC 1935/2004 and EU 10/2011 and therefore suitable for spices, dry goods or snacks. We send the declaration of conformity (PIM) on request.
How visible is the content?
Crystal-clear — the LDPE film shows the contents fully, so travel sets, small parts or portioned food can be presented well and identified quickly.
How do I dispose of the slider bags?
The bags consist of pure LDPE (mono-material) including the slider and belong in the recycling collection. In the German PE recycling stream they are NIR-detectable and fully recyclable.
