Recycling film packaging is an important step worldwide to reduce plastic waste and keep valuable raw materials in circulation. Everyone can contribute: carefully separate film packaging from other waste, remove food residues and dispose of it via the designated collection systems. Modern recycling plants transform clean material into new granulate, from which packaging, bags or technical films are made again. Every correctly disposed-of film means less waste in nature, less resource consumption and a cleaner future – everywhere in the world.

The White Coffee Bags are light-proof, aroma-protecting stand-up pouches made of aluminum composite with an integrated one-way aroma valve — the light branding surface on which your label or print artwork comes into full effect. Despite the white surface, the aluminum build completely blocks out light and oxygen, while the valve lets the CO₂ of freshly roasted beans escape.

White as a bright design surface

White is the ideal background when you work with coloured labels, illustrative varietal motifs or a clear, modern brand identity. Colours appear brilliant and true on white, and even delicate pastel tones or fine typography come across cleanly. This makes white particularly suitable for bright, friendly or Scandinavian-minimalist brand worlds. The stand-up base keeps the bag upright and presentation-ready on the shelf.

Aroma protection behind the white surface

The white front sits on the same aluminum composite as the other colours and thus forms the maximum barrier against light, oxygen and moisture — so the white look means no compromise in aroma protection. Since freshly roasted coffee off-gasses CO₂ for days, the one-way aroma valve is built in: it channels the gas outwards and blocks oxygen from getting in.

  • Bright white surface as an ideal printing and label ground
  • Light-proof aluminum composite despite the white look
  • One-way aroma valve for freshly roasted coffee

Choosing white or a darker colour

The aroma and light protection is technically the same for white, black, gold, red and silver; you decide based on brand impact. Pick white when you need a bright surface to design on and want colours to look strong and true to brand. For an elegant, dark presence black is more fitting, for premium gold, for an espresso signal red, for a neutral cross-varietal base silver. If, on the other hand, recyclability is the priority, the LDPE version with K-sealing is the right route, because as a mono-material it goes into the PE stream — but without an aluminum barrier and without a valve. We send you free samples to assess the white printing surface, the valve and the stand-up base before your first order.

Frequently asked questions about the White Coffee Bags

What is the aroma valve in the white coffee bag for?

The integrated one-way valve channels off the CO₂ that freshly roasted coffee off-gasses over several days, while at the same time blocking oxygen from the outside. Without a valve the airtight bag would balloon — with the valve you can pack freshly roasted coffee directly and the aroma stays sealed in.

Why is white so popular as a branding surface?

On white, printing colours appear brilliant and true, and even light pastel tones or fine typography come across cleanly. This makes the white bag the ideal base for coloured labels, illustrative varietal motifs and modern, bright brand worlds.

Is the white bag light-proof despite its bright look?

Yes. The white surface sits on the same aluminum composite as the other colours and is therefore completely opaque to light. The bright look means no reduction in light or aroma protection.

Does white have a different aroma protection than black or silver?

No, the aroma and light barrier is the same across all aluminum colour variants, since the material build is identical. You choose the colour purely by effect: white for bright branding, black for elegant, gold for premium, red for espresso, silver for a neutral base.

Can I have the white bag printed full-surface?

Yes, white is an excellent printing ground for flexographic and gravure printing and can be designed both full-surface and with individual motifs and the mandatory information under the EU Food Information Regulation. Because colour reproduction on white is very accurate, it is particularly suitable for brand-true colour tones. We clarify minimum order quantity and lead time individually.

Does the white surface discolour from coffee oils?

No, the coffee oils only come into contact with the food-grade inner layer, not with the white outer surface. The outside stays cleanly white as long as the bag is handled and stored normally.

Is the white coffee bag approved for food contact?

Yes, the inner contact layer complies with EC 1935/2004 and EU 10/2011. You receive the declaration of conformity (PIM) and, on request, migration reports.

What sizes are available and do I get samples in advance?

You can see the available sizes with tiered prices directly in the order table at the top of the page. Before your first order we send you free samples so you can assess the white surface as a printing ground, the valve and the stand-up base for real.
