The white stand-up pouch is an opaque doypack made from LDPE with a bottom gusset and a smooth, white surface that serves as an ideal printing area for coloured labels and logos and shows off colour-intensive brand designs clearly. It is food-grade in line with EC 1935/2004 and EU 10/2011 and recyclable in the PE stream.
What the white stand-up pouch is used for
You choose white when your brand design should appear clear and colour-intensive on the packaging. The white background makes printing colours glow and gives a clean, friendly shelf appearance.

Material and properties
LDPE is soft, tear-resistant and cold-resistant down to around -40 °C, so it is freezer-suitable. The solid white colouring makes the pouch opaque and offers basic light protection. Maximum aroma and oxygen protection, by contrast, is provided by the aluminum variant, while white plays to its strength in clean, colour-rich presentation.
White, matt white or with valve – the choice
Glossy white is the classic, colour-strong printing base. For a matte, more refined look there is matt white, and for freshly roasted coffee there is the white version with aroma protection valve. As a mono-material, the pouch goes in the yellow recycling bag after use and is PPWR-compliant from 2030.
Printing and processing
The white background is the ideal stage for colour-intensive designs: print motifs in flexo or gravure look vivid and clean here. During filling, the LDPE film behaves soft and tear-resistant, and the tear notch ensures a clean first opening for the customer. As a PE mono-material, the pouch goes in the yellow recycling bag and is NIR-detectable and fully recoverable in the recycling stream. Frequently asked questions about the white stand-up pouch
Why a white instead of a transparent pouch?
Because white offers an opaque printing surface on which colours glow especially well. If the contents should be visible, choose the transparent variant; if your label should stand out, white is ideal.
How well can white be printed?
Very well – the white background makes printing colours appear vivid and true. Custom brand printing in flexo or gravure is possible; we clarify minimum order quantity and lead time individually.
What is the difference to matt white?
The surface: matt white is matte and looks more refined and modern, while the standard white is slightly glossy and is the classic, colour-strong printing base.
Is the white pouch opaque?
Yes, the solid white LDPE film conceals the contents completely and offers basic light protection for sensitive dry goods.
Can I freeze in it?
Yes. LDPE stays flexible down to around -40 °C and is therefore freezer-suitable. The film is not intended for hot filling above around 80 °C.
Is white suitable for fresh coffee?
For ground or degassed coffee yes. For freshly roasted coffee with CO₂ release, choose the white variant with aroma protection valve.
Does the pouch stand upright when filled?
Yes, the bottom gusset forms a stable base for shelf presentation during filling.
Is it resealable?
Yes, via the zip with 30–50 opening cycles, complemented by the tear notch for a clean first opening.
How do I dispose of it?
In the yellow recycling bag: pure LDPE (mono-material), NIR-detectable and fully recoverable in the PE recycling stream.
